Terms of Submission & Privacy Policy

(What our legal department has told us to post)

By submitting an article to Mystik Hill Productions, you are attesting that the article is original and that you are the sole owner of the article; the article is not in the public domain; the article does not infringe upon the copyright of any others.

By submitting an article, you agree to indemnify and hold Mystik Hill Productions, its agents and its employees, harmless from any liability or damages, including reasonable attorney fees, in connection with any claim or action inconsistent with or arising out of the breach of any of the warranties, representations, or obligations contained in this agreement.

As the copyright holder, you grant to Mystik Hill Productions the non-exclusive permission to the article for worldwide distribution through electronic media via the Mystik Hill Productions website and its mirrors. Further, you grant Mystik Hill Productions the non-exclusive permission to duplicate the article as necessary for distribution.

This agreement shall become binding when accepted by Mystik Hill Productions, its duly authorized agents and employees, and shall be effective when accepted if no effective date is specified.

Why we have to have this? What does this really mean? Can't we all just get along?

  • Due to problems on the Internet with copyright violations and outright theft and fraud, it's become necessary for everyone to protect themselves. That's why this agreement. It really boils down to three things:

  • You're agreeing that the submission you send us is yours and not someone else's

  • If you're lying, and the article really is someone else's, then you're on your own when it comes to defending yourself; it's not our fault you're lying.

  • You give us the right to distribute the article through the web. You do not give us the right to anything else. Want to put it in a book? Go ahead. Want to sell it some where? Go for it. We just want to have the permission to put it on the web and make backup copies. That's all. This one is a bit scary for some people to swallow; it's there to protect us from getting a submission and then, after putting it on the website, getting sued because the owner never intended for it to be published.

See how insane all of this gets sometimes?

Anyway, if any of this makes you nervous, please drop us a line. Maybe we can talk the lawyers down off the ceiling long enough to get all of this straight and go back to producing magic like we want to.

Mystik Hill's Privacy Policy

We collect and post submissions such as the articles, etc. mentioned above. However, we will never sell or share your information, particularly your email address, without your express written permission. We hate junk email as much as you do!
